Coronavirus and Covid 19

Corona viruses are enveloped RNA viruses that are widely distributed among humans, other mammals and birds and cause respiratory diseases, enteric diseases, liver diseases and neurological disorders. It is known that seven types of corona virus cause disease in humans. Four virus-229E. OC43. NL63 and HKu1- are widespread and typically cause cold symptoms in immunocompetent individuals.
Four of the three other strains - severe coronavirus with acute respiratory syndrome (SARS-Cov), coronavirus with respiratory syndrome in the Middle East (MERS-Cov) and novel coronavirus 2019 (COVID-) 19) - are of zoonotic (animal) origin and have been linked to sometimes fatal diseases. IgG and IgM antibodies against the novel Coronavirus 2019 can be detected 2-3 weeks after infection. lgG remains positive, but antibody levels decrease over time.
